Newbie is not recommended to set the key. By setting the key, you get the risk that you cannot connect your machine to the net.
In fact, the signal is very weak and your neighbor will not be able to connect to net unless you put your router near the windows.
Many people setting the key for security reason, I would suggest the better approach is to turn off the router when it's not in use.
